Al & Cyrus in Chicago

Greg and I drove up to Chicago to see Al & Cyrus play.

It was a really cool venue. We went backstage before the show and hung out for a while and then actually ended up watching the show from their private balcony on the side of the stage...it was an awesome way to watch the concert!

They had a packed house!

I really loved the set they played. It had the voice modification songs at the beginning and then Al's really tender songs about Mim afterward. I think Al sounded the best I've ever heard him, Cyrus was amazing, and let's just say that I shed a few tears during the second half of their set.

Oh how I love these two! I'm so glad we got to see them and spend time visiting.

Jessie Zollinger Doney's handiwork

Jessie made some reindeer for her family last year for Christmas and I absolutely fell in love with them! I asked her if I could hire her to make some for me and she agreed! This is what she sent. There is a pair of large ones for my parents, a set of large for me and Greg, and a set for each of my kids.

This year we will have reindeer out for Greg, me, Andrew, Kayleigh, Zach, and Ava

But some day we will have the full set! I am so excited to gift these! Thank you Jessie!

Talk about a dark cloud!

We had a crazy sunset with the darkest cloud "wall" I have ever seen. It was so strange and amazing all at the same time!

Doing my part

Well, things don't always go your way in an election, but you have to get out there and do your part! Till next time election...till next time!

The after party

Beth, the Carliles, my parents, and the Carmel friends all went home either on Saturday or Sunday, but Debbie stayed until Monday. Here are Debbie, Duke, and Greg...the after party version!

Another costume party!

Lily is in the picture above and Ava is in the picture below...they were dressed up as the human version of a Car's character for Cole Lugenbuhl's birthday...what a fun theme! I love a good dress up party and these costumes were on point!

My 50th birthday party

Greg found the perfect spot for my birthday party. It actually took a little bit of convincing for me because Woody's Diner is at a truck stop, but honestly, they have really leaned into the 50s diner theme and it was perfect! This was the sign on the door when we arrived.

It doesn't get much better than this for ambiance!

Carmel friends arrived and joined the party! So fun to have Susie, the Burkes, and the Sanchezes join in the fun!

Here is the inside of the diner...and some of the decor!

Cute friends Zack and Hailey...

Sophia, Kate, Lily, and Ava

Greg and me

Hailey and Zach again!

We had a little too many laughs with the decor!

Debbie, Alyssa, and me

Me and part of the Carmel crew...Roxanne, Sarah, and Sarah!

Ava and Susie...

Me and Susie!

It was a really fun party, with about 75 friends - all dressed up and ready to dance, eat, and enjoy! What a great way to celebrate 50!

Party people in the house!

I was lucky to have so many people come in for my birthday party...my parents were in town...

The Carliles came in - which meant a stop at the Halloween stores for end of season sales - and of course this bottle of snake poison...

Debbie came into town and made herself at home (due to my prompting of course)...

We got all dolled up...

Greg let his inner bad boy out...

And we piled into the car with Beth, who came after a whirlwind trip to Africa and Taylor Swift (true sister devotion) to head to the party! I love all of my party people!

We knew him when...

We went to a local toy store for the launch party of BounceNet and had Jeff Mavros sign our BounceNet bags...so we could prove we knew him before he hit the big time! So fun to have a friend launching a product! We are excited to support them and excited to get home and play too!

Prepping for my 50th

This is what $10 shoes from Walmart and a sharpie marker look like...just prepping for my 50th birthday party!

And here is the finished skirt! We are ready to party!

Beautiful fall skies
