A fun new product

I saw this product that was posted by a Kyle, who used to be a youth committee member of mine in Duluth! It's called "Stack Up" and is a luggage solution for when you have more stuff than hands. It's fun to see what he's doing and see his video with his family at BYU...pulling around their stacked up luggage! I hope they have tons of success getting this new business idea off the ground!

Whoops

Someone who Ava and I made a few boards for at Christmastime contacted us and asked us to do another 50th anniversary gift for a friend. I sent the preview, they gave me the thumbs up, we burned it and oiled it...and then realized we left the S out of anniversary! Sometimes your brain just sees what it wants to see. We had to start over, no fixing that! We got it done (again) and they were super happy! Sometimes you just need a take 2!

Wedding wagon & one cute flower girl!

Carla let me know she was looking for a wagon for the wedding. I ended up finding this one and driving to pick it up. Greg painted it white and we delivered it to Indianapolis on our next trip so they could add some lights or greenery. It will be the perfect little carriage for this cutie...

This is Kayleigh's niece Laney...she's going to make for one cute little flower girl!

Hairspray

Ava and I drove to Indiana to see the touring Broadway production of Hairspray. It was her Christmas present from us. We drove down early in the day so I could go to the temple with friends and so she could hang out with her friends too.

I was with Susie until it was time to leave and pick up Ava at a highschool in downtown Indianapolis where Ava had been at a show choir competition. When I got there to pick her up, I texted to see which door she was at and she told me that she had gone home earlier and was back in Carmel (and had forgotten to tell me). There was no way for me to get back to Carmel to get her and make it back to downtown Indy for the show.

The parents weren't home where Ava was, so there was noone to bring her anywhere. Quite a few of my friends were at the show choir competition, so they were out too. The only person I knew might be able to help was Susie. I called in an SOS and she immediately dropped what she was doing, rushed to grab Ava and hustled all the way downtown with her...dropping her just 2 minutes before the show started. She 100% saved us and saved the night!

Here is Ava with the Carmel gang at the show choir competition earlier in the day!

We made it!

It was a fantastic show and we had a great night watching it! So much talent and so much fun!

Duke and the Moreys

The Morey family has asked us a few times if we wanted to leave Duke with them when we go out of town and we finally took them up on the offer. They sent us a few pictures along the way...

Millie loves Duke, so he was getting lots of attention!

Waiting by the door...

King of the couch...

And of the bed. They are so nice and took wonderful care of him!

Acapella Night

This is my favorite concert of the year and this time it was even more fun because Ava had a solo! Here are a whole bumch of pictures of Key of She and Voice Male!

Victory!

These envelopes really gave me a run for my money, but in the end (and with the help from some friends who created a mean file for me to print from), we got the envelopes printed! Woohoo!

Printed, sorted into piles for the different invitations that are being sent, and shipped to the kids! This is a huge check off of the wedding to-do list!

Skies on fire!

The All-Star Game!

Zach and his friends went to the pre-All-Star Game game! The actual game tickets were crazy expensive, but this was a fun way for him to see some of his favorite players and enjoy the atmosphere for a fraction of the cost. I'm super glad it was in Salt Lake this year so he could go...so fun!

Surfing, Rock Climbing, and Sky Diving oh my!

We gave Kayleigh 2 tickets to a facility in Ogden that has indoor surfing, climbing, and skydiving for Christmas. She and Andrew went and got their adventure on! It was so fun that they sent us pictures and videos to show us all the fun!

Woohoo! WE LOVE IT!!!

Our little monster

I have always loved Duke's little teeth, but this little monster has worn them all the way down to nothings. He has been so stressed out in his kennel that he chews on the metal. When we realized what was happening, it was too late and his poor little teeth are basically gone on the bottom. We have retired the kennel now, he's just a free beast from now on. What a little monster.

Fort Jesse Cafe

Oh my goodness...I went to a yummy breakfast with my friends at Fort Jesse Cafe and had this unique chicken n' waffles eggs benedict...yep, that's what I said! So delicious! Happy Saturday morning to me!

Herman's Hermits

We have friends that were going to a Herman's Hermits concert to see their friend who is one of the guitar players in the band and they invited us to come along. We are always up for a fun night, so we went along. We were actually pleasantly surprised at just how good they were...Peter Noone still sounded great and put on a really good show!

This is the Lau's friend!

It was a super fun night with friends and happy music!
