What do you think? Holly and I are currently on the phone and just looked up "make" for synonyms (trying to come up with a show title). "Dream up" was one of the synonyms and it sparked Holly to come up with the latest title. We thought it summed up the show pretty well - things I think of, things I copy cat, and lots of talk!!
So....what do you think? Here are the front runner suggestions...
Dream up. Copy cat. Chit chat.
Do. Make. Bake.
Mad Skills (I love this title, but I think it's a little too cocky - even for me)
Welcome to my life.
Oh, I can totally make that.
I'm just trying to come up with something that sums up the show - which will be me and a guest making or doing something while we talk.
Let me know!! I'm down to a week - oh, I need theme music too...
First I was afraid, I was petrified...
Today is day 7 of Greg's 7 day trip. Now I know (as do all of you) that Greg has done his fair share of travel in the past - but I'm out of shape!! It's funny how you get used to a routine of someone being gone (like when we were in Utah) and then it doesn't seem quite so bad. But, when Greg travels lately, he is only gone for a few nights at a time, so this week long thing throws me for a loop! Greg will be doing a little more travel once he is at Exodus full time (in another 2 weeks), but they will be shorter trips - those aren't so bad...they don't require the "theme song" that this week did!!
HELP!! The show needs a name...
Greg and I went to our editing class last night and had a great time. We are going to enjoy this little adventure together! The people at PACT tv were great and they made us feel very confident about putting something together.So...since things went well, we went ahead and scheduled our first studio time for May 7th! Two weeks from tomorrow and counting! I called Cyndi and Lindsey on the way home from the studio and asked if they would be on the first show...and...I have two booked guests!!!
Now all we need is a name. So, here's your chance to submit your ideas. I'll take as many ideas as you can come up with! I'm really excited and just need that "right" name...so send your creative naming my way!! Like I said, we are two weeks and counting!
Pass the hacksaw and fabri-tac please...
About a week and a half ago I woke up with a really sore thumb - right at the base where it leads into the curve that leads into your pointer finger. I have no idea why it was hurting - I don't remember doing anything out of the ordinary, but it was hurting pretty good. I figured that I must have pulled a muscle or something and so I just tried to take it a little easy. Well...then Cyndi came and I couldn't resist the crafting or making dough (neither of which let my thumb take it especially easy) and by yesterday I couldn't stand it anymore. It was hurting bad enough that I wondered if I had hit in on something and chipped a bone??
Anyway, after church I went into the doctor and had it exrayed. They said the bones were good (thank goodness), but that I probably tore the ligiment at the base of my thumb. Okay, easy enough. Wear this brace for a few weeks and I should be good to go. So, I come home and quickly realize that the brace - which is intended to immobilize my thumb - also immobilizes my wrist. Not because it needs to, but because they have a "one brace fits a few injuries" thing going on. If I needed my wrist immobilized, I might complain, but would understand it. But since I don't need it immobilized, it just left the complaining. While I was on the phone with my parents I noticed that if I could cut the brace off just below the first strap...it would be perfect!! Pass the hacksaw and fabri-tac please!
I forgot to take a picture before I asked Greg to hacksaw through it (so I had to put it back on so you could see what the "before" would have been)...
Drum roll please...
TAA-DAAH! A perfect thumb brace with full wrist mobility...complete with trim and everything...thank you very much! It was actually kind of fun to make because I was so excited at the thought of moving my wrist for the next two weeks and because Greg had to help me with all the fabric stuff - it's hard to craft with no thumb!!

Easier said than done!
She's Crafty!
Greg's sister, Cyndi, came to visit us this week while the kids were on spring break and while she was here, we "projected" our hearts out! Here is some of the evidence of what we did...
A few weeks ago, Holly told me about these doll necklaces she has seen online. I knew I wanted to make them as soon as I saw them. I ended up making two sets - one for Ava and one for my sister's girls. Cyndi made some too and thought it wou ld be fun to do an "it's a small world series" with girl's from around the world. I'm going to string them on the ribbon today...I just thought it might make the picture look too chaotic...
The next project we did was painting! I did these little picture frames for the kids for their Easter baskets (I'm putting a Disney picture of them in it).
Foprah update...
I have an appointment on Friday morning at 10:00 to take the introduction class at PACT (public access t.v.). I'll get all the information about the other classes that I would need to take (filming and editing) and also the information about what type of a commitment it would be. I would love to do a show once a month!
Anyway, just thought some of you would be interested to know...

Pupcakes, cupcakes and some ice-cream too!
We decided this year that we wouldn't really do anything "big" for Ava's birthday...well...nothing was "big", but we did end up doing 3 little things! The picture above is on Ava's actual birthday. We were just going to have a cake at home, but the Sieberts called and invited us over and so we got a cake that was big enough to share. They added in the balloons and a few extra singing voices...and we were at a party!
The next party was at Marisa and Brian's house. Their son, Sonnen, is just a few days older than Ava and so I asked Marisa if we could combine with them to celebrate with the family. She was nice enough to say, "yes!" She had planned on doing a puppy theme since Sonnen loves to pretend to be a puppy...but who doesn't??
This is a little outfit that Marisa's mom got for Ava...hello - cute little cheffie!
Ava opening some home made play-doh from Amy and Justin (it was wrapped so cute)
Sonnen and Ava face off in the dueling candle blowing here!
Our little birthday girlSince Marisa was wanting to do a puppy themed party, I made some puppy cupcakes - which Sonnen quickly named, "pupcakes". I thought it was so, so smart and so, so cute!
The third and final party was this past Wednesday. One of my friends, Courtney, from ECFE has a daughter that turned 2 a few days before Ava and we thought it would be fun to have a small, combined party for the ECFE group at the children's museum. The museum is all done up like a castle right now and so we decided on a "princess" theme. It was very low key - just cupcakes, playing and a small crown decorating project - but, very fun.
I princess...
Every time she sees herself - in the mirror or just by looking down - she says, "I princess". It's really cute and we can't resist affirming her statement!
20 Disney Pictures
Andrew and Ava crossing "Broadway" outside of our hotel room
Ava in "Morocco" - she danced to the music in the store for over 20 minutes and had the workers eating out of her hand (and dressing her with Moroccan treasures)
In "Canada"
We were there during the garden festival - there were some really great sculptures and beautiful flowers
Zach kissing his churro - yes, he learned that from me
A little brotherly love in the "future"
Bruce's lunch
The afternoon nappers - I think Zach fell asleep on Greg every day - it was really cute to me. I got two books read during this vacation - all during nap time!
This actually happened twice - we came into the room and Ava was reading the Bible in her little reading spot - with just a diaper and socks on!
Zach won a few carnival prizes the night we were in that area at Animal Kingdom - all by himself! He was so excited - and he should have been - he got 3 balls out of 4 in those impossible holes! It's impossible to put a whole vacation on the blog, but this gives a really good cross section of our extended week at the happiest place on earth!
