Happy Halloween!

Ava and Sophie Parker decided they wanted to do matching costumes this year.  Ginger and I went shopping together and then each did our own daughter's make-up.  Ava was super happy with how everything turned out and so was I!

At the ward party...

With Sophie!

Cute friends.

The YW and YM were in charge of games for the kids.  Laurels did this spider toss.

Hmmm...this group looks a little shady...

More fun with Sarah and friends.

It was so fun to do her make-up and she loved it!

On Halloween night, these girls got together and went out.  They had a wonderful night!

Off they go!  Happy Halloween!!

Dog sitting

Ava has gotten to be known around the neighborhood as a good dog walker and dog sitter.  She has Leo for the weekend - he seems completely happy to be by her side for the weekend!

I love the Zollingers

Debbie sent me these pictures and I absolutely love them...the pictures and the Zollingers!

From one event to another!

I also went to the state soccer game to see Emily play.  This huge section of the crowd was all from our ward.  It was really fun (and we were even seen on tv).

Carmel High School took the state title!

Emily with her mom and sister.

After the game, a big group of us went to Nada for dinner...a delicious way to end a very fun night.

State Cross Country Meet

I end up going to a lot of events for the girls as part of my calling, and this weekend I went to see Lindsey run in the State meet.

Here she is with her mom and sister.

Luckily, Annette and Susie came with me...that made the car ride and race super fun!  A girl's day out!

It was a perfect fall day and we stopped and saw some of the leaves on the way home too.

I lost my favorite earring at the meet and Annette and Susie helped me hunt for it (to no avail), and then I came home and found that it had actually fallen out at home.  I was so happy!  My friends were awesome to help me hunt for it in a massive field...we've had a few good laughs over it since!  A fun day supporting a yw and spending time with friends.

Halloween parties

Zach got invited to a Halloween party on the same night that Greg and I were invited to one too.  He wasn't sure what he wanted to be, but then thought of wearing a box and being a "Zach in the box"!  So fun.

I became a scare crow...

And Greg pulled out an old costume (an oldie but a goodie).

I brought my favorite apple dip and apples - a seasonal favorite for us.

And since the Monsons came as police officers, we had them recreate the original picture of Greg getting arrested by the police officer in Duluth.  We had a really fun night and it got us right into the Halloween spirit!

Volleyball victory

Ava has a great team this year and they have been doing really well.  The coach is great and she makes it really fun for the girls.

Ava serving...

Sammy and Ava played each other - it made for a really fun match!

A fun night with the YW

We had an outdoor movie and pizza night scheduled with the YW and then the weather didn't cooperate.  We moved it inside and went on just as planned.

We had lots of laughs, played some games, had pizza and homemade doughnuts...what more could you want?

The girls played the game where you have noise cancelling headphones on and try to read the lips of the other person - we laughed and laughed!

Sarah and I played after the girls and schooled them...it was awesome.

A great night with a great group of girls.

Beautiful Skies

We had a sunrise that literally looked like the sky was on fire.  It was the most amazing sky I had every seen.  When the sun was fully up, the last picture is what the sky looked like.  So amazing and so beautiful.
