Back to school!

Here are the two little misters headed back to school. Andrew is in 3rd grade and Zach is in 1st. Both of their teachers are named Mrs. Fisher this year - and they are both really happy with their teachers. Andrew has homework every night and Zach is in the whole new world of spelling tests! They are both doing great and enjoying being with friends. It's nice to get back into the routine of things and to see them doing well. It's nice when everybody is happy!!

Hey kids, rock and roll, rock on...

Have you seen those cardboard guitars they are selling? Well even if you haven't, my kids have! Everytime they see one in the store, they think they are getting ready to tour with Guns-N-Roses...where in the world would they ever pick that kind of behavior up?

What can I say? Except for...hey kids, rock and roll, rock on!

The Zach attack on 2 wheels!!

While we were in Hutchinson over Labor Day, Zach learned to ride a 2 wheeler. He had been a little reluctant to take the training wheels off, but as soon as he did, he was off and riding!

Here he is at home feeling totally confident and happy! Now bike riding is his favorite activity...
we are so proud of him and he is quite the happy rider!

Cyndi's ponies

I love being at Cyndi's house with the kids when she has a new pony. There is almost nothing cuter than a pony and kids...I know I'm biased...but still!

Ava was really calm around the pony and I was surprized how comfortable she was...

Andrew is like an old timer with pony pictures...what a great perk to being Cyndi's nephew!

Just another cute picture of the little miss...

Obviously Zach was feeling pretty comfy too...comfy enough to get a little kiss in! See, I told you they were cute!

Andrew's last wolf activity

The last thing Andrew needed to do as a wolf cubscout was to hang this bird house. He worked on it with Greg and then hung it in the back yard - the final task to get his world conservation award. He was very proud and is very excited to start the bear track next week when he turns 9!!

The good ol' twisy buns

Ava has gotten old enough where she cares how I do her hair. One of her favorites of late has been the twisty buns! We have been starting with completely wet hair (I love how she looks with the towel like this) and then we just put her hair in pigtails and twist them into bun...twisty buns!

The fun part of the twisty buns is the next day. This is what it looks like when you have one twisty bun out...

Like a little wild woman once they both come out...

I know it's a little hard to see in this picture, but after taming the crazy locks, now she has super cute, curly pig tails! Love those twisty buns!

Who's kids are these?

They make a mama proud!
